Financial Education Clearinghouse
Call for Curricula

Nefe

The National Endowment for Financial Education® request your help to further develop the Financial Education Clearinghouse. We are looking for financial literacy curricula with facilitator and learner materials, and supporting educational materials (e.g., web sites, videotapes, home study courses, brochures, quizzes, games, etc.). Clearinghouse entries must be designed to increase individuals' economic independence through sound personal financial decisions. Further, they must target underserved segments of society, including the newly employed, young workers, individuals moving from welfare to work, and immigrants.

To make a submission to the Clearinghouse, please fill out the attached form, one for EACH entry, and include with it a complimentary review sample that will not be returned. Mail this material to:

Leann Wood Lupomech, Program Administrator
National Endowment for Financial Education
5299 DTC Boulevard, Suite 1300
Greenwood Village, CO 80111

In addition to being a valuable resource for all community educators, being listed in the Clearinghouse is an excellent way to extend the use of your work.

Information you submit will be listed in the Clearinghouse after it has been reviewed and meets the following criteria:

  • Technically accurate and current
  • Objective, in that differing points of view are fairly presented
  • Contains all relevant information and does not err by omission
  • Language complexity suitable for the target audience
  • No derogatory content toward a particular group (e.g., ethnicity, age, gender)
  • Focused on building economic independence through sound personal financial decision making
  • Targeted to underserved segments of society, including the newly employed, young workers, individuals moving from welfare to work, and immigrants
  • Costs, if any, are minimal to recuperate development and production costs
  • Solely educational in content with no attempt, either direct or indirect, to sell products and services
  • Expected shelf life of at least three to five years

Resources specific to states (e.g., containing state regulations) are acceptable.

Should you have questions, please contact Leann Wood Lupomech at NEFE at llw@nefe.org.
